Welcome to „Beyers Keller“. Travel with us back in time to the Middle Ages. The cellar was built in the 15th century and has been used for different purposes over the last 500 years. As a storeroom, as a place of refuge, as a hiding place, and now as a tavern. Relive the atmosphere of Luther’s times here and experience the table manners of old times. We will serve one of the following menus. In addition, you can enjoy an entertainment programme between individual courses. You can choose between a “jester” who will entertain you with juggling and with japes and jokes, or „Captain Johann“, who, as the town crier, has a lot of fascinating knowledge to impart about Martin Luther and the town of Wittenberg in and around the year 1517. Select the menu of your choice.
Price per menu and per person 39.90 € each (price without entertainment program 30.90 €)

Wittenberg 1533. Katharine Luther has many hungry mouths to feed when the priest Michael Stifel knocks on the door seeking refuge. During the course of the evening, it turns out that the clergyman’s great passion - mathematics - has led him into serious trouble.
Stifel, who has been able - among other things - to calculate the date of the end of the world with the aid of daring equations, succeeds in frightening the guests and Luther’s wife. Is today a day just like any other? Or will the last supper really be served at the festive board?
You will hear, see and taste..
