After 500 years, the merger of two large historic houses of the Middle Ages in the center of Wittenberg took place in 2016.
The „Goldene Adler“ (Golden Eagle) was built in 1480. In 1720 it was named for the first time.
According to tradition, Martin Luther was a regular guest in the „Adler“.
For Martin Luther the innkeeper always reserved a table and a chair.
The hotel's reception, hotel room, the „Adlerschänke“, the Palm Hall and Charles Bar are now in the histroic building with the address Markt 7.
The „Adlerschänke“ has 60 seats. There you will also get home-brewed beer and hearty food.
